Learning Maths Fractions with Mrs Allan

This morning we had done Math tasks

on this site called Transum which is

a math site. You can complete

tasks and get trophies from all of

the tasks you do. It was very fun

since some people were competitive

and wanted to see who could get the most trophies

I had got 18 and is one of my personal best.

Looking at Manaiakalani films with Mr Goodwin

On Tuesday 27 of July we had our usual cybersmart with Mr Goodwin.

He lead the session with Manaiakalani films. There were 6 films he made us watch

and my favourite was Level 2 BBQ which was made by Room 7 at Pt England school

All of the movies we had watched was made by Mr Goodwin and by

Pt England school. Manaiakalani is  an education programme that is achieving significant improvement in student achievement this is what we do every year. Each year we have the chance to go to the movies located in Sylvia Park to watch other schools within the Manaiakalani programmes films that they have worked on within the year.

This was a good opportunity to get us ready for us to name our up coming films.

Guess who I saw!! I saw a NUN it was really good talking to this nun

because of how amazing her costume was she was actually really good

at screaming and while I am making this she is standing on top of me and giving me chocolates.  

My 24 hour digital footprint

 

Today for cybersmart with Mr Goodwin we had done a digital footprint. The digital footprint was each site we had gone to in the last 24 hours. 

We had to track it by looking at our history and taking an image to put on the google drawing. It was pretty easy because we have done this before and was a type of task we just had to go over.

What if.

 

  A few weeks ago for cyber smart with Mr Goodwin we got a task we had to do which was What if. 

It was basically a task where we had to imagine what if scenarios like What if there was a zombie apocalypse or if Iron man and Superman existed what would you do?How would you feel? What would you do in that situation. 

Moment of Awesome!

This week  for a moment of awesome we were joined by some of the students in room 1 for 3 days this week. We got to share some of our learning with them for the Days they were with us, and got to help them with some of the maths and drawing we are doing like some reflection drawings and even got to complete some of our work we needed to complete to be able to have free time or a game outside. We got to work with others if we really needed it or for some groupwork our teacher had set for us. Another awesome thing that happened this week was we got notices to go sailing! It was a really brilliant thing that had happened and had  really completed my week even though I didn't have a good experience with sailing when I was younger I hope I can be able to do it again when we go on our trip. A lot of good news came to the Year 7 and 8s with some people getting notices to go to soccer tournament it was fun seeing them getting excited because of how much they love soccer.

About me 2021

 Kia Ora my name is Sosefina, and I am in Year 7 at Ruapotaka School and I am in Mr Nevalagi class. I am Cook Island and I am the second youngest of my family. I have 5 siblings who live with me and my parents.

I really enjoy reading  and doing art. I also love  drawing and writing. I like to play Volleyball on the weekends with my siblings because they can point out some of the things I have done wrong.

Blog Bingo

 

Last week Tuesday when we had Mr Goodwin, Me and my classmates had done an activity called Blog Bingo. It was pretty fun because I got to see some of the many blog things I have never seen before. This also taught me a lot and I really enjoyed it.

Science Tech

 On Wednesday Rm 7 and 8 had gone to Tamaki College to tech. Hone and Sunipa were in Science tech and were experimenting also doing taste testing. They were buddies and had  to see if some things worked or didn't. Even though I wasn't in Science I hope that they had a good time learning about new stuff that our school can't provide.

Cybersmart Bookmarks

 

For this task we had to learn about the importance in 

bookmarking. We got help from Mr Goodwin who showed

us all about it !He showed us how to make a bookmarks folder to store

our important stuff in it.it was a really good time working with Mr Goodwin and I am glad that I learnt some new stuff about my bookmarks.
